I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet!! That's crazy.
Great food per all the guests at our daughter's wedding. Lamb kabob to die for.
Fabulous basmati saffron rice.
Delicious baklava and Armenian coffee.
Hot and wonderful borscht.
Cheerful, professional staff. Super clean and bright ambiance.
You've got to try it. -

What a happy accidental discovery this was! Hubby and I were actually going to another eatery a few doors away but found them closed really early on a weekend. We looked around and checked the Yelp review for House of Kabob and decided to give them a try. No regrets!
We walked in to their very clean restaurant. The decor is simple, but cute. More of a sit down "fast food" vibe, but the food is made to order. Don't expect to order, pay and grab your food. I think we waited about 15 minutes or so.. not bad.
The ladies behind the counter were very friendly. We explained it was our first time and they were offering to explain the cuisine. I've been a fan of Mediterranean food for years, so we were Ok.. just needed to review the menu.
My husband loves lamb and ordered their kabob combo plate. I ordered the lule kabob (1 chicken, 1 beef because I wanted to try each). The plates come with a delicious house salad, pita, hummus, and a flavorful rice. Hubby requested fries instead of rice. I don't know what they sprinkle on them, but it's really yummy! Not knowing how large the portions are, hubby also added an order of their stuffed grape leaves. Everything was delicious, we took at least half home because of the portions.. and our mouths and tummies were happy. I asked for pickled turnips on the side.. they make their own! No jarred pink pickles here!
I'm curious to try their falafel balls. I'm a bit snobby and like the ones that are green inside vs. tan to brown.
Based on our experience we will be back. Maybe not two full plate meals.. I might try a sandwich or an aka carte meat and another appetizer on the side and we can share.
Sorry I didn't get everything in the photos.. we started noshing and forgot! -

This is THE best place to get Mediterranean food in the AV- trust me, I've tried multiple.
Their hummus is delicious, their meat is always perfect, and if you like falafels.... OH MY GOSH they are sooo good here! If you like Olives falafels you'll fall in love with these (they are 100x better)
Try them out! You won't be disappointed. Also, staff is always super friendly and courteous, we've never been disappointed with the service or food here. Love them ! -

I love the House Of Kabob, the grilled jalapeño and hummus are my favorite part! I enjoy the staff, they're always very sweet, welcoming and helpful.

Delicious, Authentic, home cooked style Mediterranean cuisine. I would not call the service really warm, but efficient and patient with my indecisive and energetic family.
Portions are very very generous, so consider sharing a plate if you aren't a big eater or prepare for leftovers.
We loved the bright fresh herbaceous flavors of the Tabbouli salad and the punchy garlicky yogurt cucumber side. The chicken kabob were seasoned nicely, albiet a bit dry as chicken breast tends to be. Rice was flavorful and I ate more of it than I usually do of this oft neglected sidedish. It really hit the spot for our cravings.
